Welcome to Drumaldry
A neighborhood of 104 single-family homes built in the early 1970's, Drumaldry stands out in the dominant "colonial" Washington area landscape for its architectural contemporary style.
Six different house models share the distinctive characteristics of this development: cedar siding with redwood trim, with stain chosen from a palette of muted colors. Roofs are cedar shakes and large windows make the outdoors into part of the living space. This exposure means there have to be walls around each property for privacy, but apart from providing for private, cloistered gardens and secure yards for children to play in, the brick walls also give unity to the community.
